Finding the right therapeutic approach can be a challenging endeavor, given the variety of options available today.
My integrative approach to counselling combines elements from different therapeutic models, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit each client's unique circumstances and goals. I draw primarily from psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, blending these methods to create a holistic framework. This means I focus not only on the present issues but also on deeper underlying patterns, beliefs, and past experiences that shape a person’s mental health and well-being. By integrating these approaches, I can support clients in addressing both immediate concerns and long-standing challenges, offering a flexible and responsive way to help clients achieve greater self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.
In our therapeutic space, we will collaboratively examine your life and process the emotions and feelings that arise, allowing you to address them in a constructive way. While we will work together, you will be encouraged to take the lead in guiding our discussions. My role will be to support you in achieving specific goals or simply to be a compassionate presence as you navigate your path towards greater peace and fulfillment.
An integrative approach acknowledges that no single therapy method is universally effective for everyone. By combining the strengths of multiple therapeutic frameworks, I can tailor my counseling to meet each client's unique circumstances, preferences, and goals. This flexibility not only enhances the therapeutic experience but also increases the likelihood of meaningful and lasting positive change.
In-person therapy is the most prevalent form of therapy, and I consider it my preferred method of delivery. While online therapy offers certain advantages, it also presents challenges, such as difficulties in interpreting body language and potential issues with internet connectivity that can hinder the therapeutic process. Acknowledging that not everyone is comfortable with technology, I provide both in-person and online sessions to accommodate diverse client needs.
Online therapy provides several advantages, particularly for individuals in remote areas where in-person services may be limited. It is accessible through various modes such as video calls, telephone conversations, messaging, and email. I choose to offer video calls and telephone conversations and am committed to working in a manner that best suits your convenience.
I charge a low rate of only £45 for individual therapy sessions. If you are worried about your being able to afford this get in touch so we can discuss this further to see if we are able to come an affordable agreement.
